The importance of liking yourself- Being confident in yourself is important when it comes to being assertive. If you don't believe in yourself, you may shy away and people may not take you seriously. The Assertiveness course will show you the importance of liking yourself and how it will help you when being assertive.
The Expectancy Theory- The Expectancy theory is about the mental processes regarding choice, or choosing. The Assertiveness course will give you some information about the theory itself and how it relates to assertiveness.

SMART goals- Goals should be specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and timely. In other words, goals should be SMART. The Assertiveness course will give you some great tips on how to make sure your goals are smart.
Relating to others/finding common ground- True assertiveness is expressing yourself honestly and directly. Unlike aggression, assertiveness shows respect for others. Using assertiveness techniques will enable you to deal with others as equals and to look for win-win solutions.
